NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to section 506 and 1526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor for the Town of Marathon, County of Cortland, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy has been left at the Town Clerk's Office where, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TOWN CLERK'S HOURS AND OFFICE POLICY, it may be seen and examined by any interested person until Grievance Day. The roll will also be available for viewing online at
www.cortland-co.org/195/Real-Property-Tax-Services (per requirement of RPTL section 1590(2).)
The assessor will be available to discuss the Tentative Roll May 14 through May 17, 2025, by phone only. Property owners may call with any questions or concerns during this time at 607-849-6380 or 607-849-6966. She may also be

Grievance Day for the Town of Marathon will be Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Charles S. Adams Jr. Town Hall at 40 W. Main Street to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of
any persons believing him/herself to be aggrieved.

TOWN OF MARATHON AMNESTY DAY PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Marathon will be having an Amnesty Day on Saturday, May 10, 2025. We will accept items in
designated areas at the Town of Marathon Highway Garage on Mill Street that day between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Accepted items include construction and demolition wastes, white goods, Freon-free items, and scrap metal. We no longer accept tires.

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS: September 17, 2022, marks the two hundred and thirty-fifth anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention; and
WHEREAS: It is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this magnificent document and its memorable anniversary; and to the patriotic celebrations which will commemorate the occasion; and
WHEREAS: Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by the President of the United States of America designating September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week,
NOW, THEREFORE I, Timothy Elliott by virtue of the authority vested in me as Town Supervisor of the Town of Marathon in the State of New York in do hereby proclaim the week of September 17 through 23 as CONSTITUTION WEEK
AND ask our citizens to reaffirm the ideals of the Framers of the constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Town of Marathon to be affixed this 13th day of September of the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-two.
